What Do You Get by Sending Your Son to Military School?

Most people these days consider military school “the last option” for a kid who is acting out and/or failing in school. In reality, a military school may not even accept him into their ranks. Hundreds, if not thousands, of kids are denied entry into these schools every year.

Just like military boot camp, if the soldier really doesn’t be there, he can find a way to get kicked out. The recruit either conforms and buys into the program or they pack their bags and go home. The same can be said about military school. This is because military schools, just like the military, want a trained and cohesive unit. They need to break you down before they build you back up. A truly bad kid is not the place for either.

But, if your son is lucky enough to get accepted, and you have the funds to afford it, a military school can make all the difference in a young man’s life and change his trajectory. Many famous and powerful people got their start at military school.

These schools offer lessons in self-discipline, leadership, technology, classical literature, mathematics and physical education. They usually have a small class size so that no student gets left behind. One-on-one mentorship in and outside the classroom is actually the norm.

Many cadets at the high school level go onto get accepted into the military academies like West Point and Annapolis, as well as other highly regarded schools like Duke, University of Virginia or Maryland.

With military school your child will become a man and learn how to lead others in his peer group. He won’t be a victim of peer pressure telling him to do illegal or harmful things. He will become the leader.
